Filmed on location during the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall, Canadian singer-songwriter Shannon Lyon takes us on a journey through the recording, mixing and rehearsal of his new album 'This Love This Love' and highlights some of his favourite places within the city.

Songs highlighted in the documentary include: 'This Love This Love', 'Softest Lips', 'The Writings On The Wall', 'Get Over You', 'A Light Unto', 'Pleasing You Pleases Me', 'I Crossed The Ocean', 'Wish It Would Rain' and more.

Dialogue is in English/German/Romanian with English subtitles.

Recently completed a one hour documentary for Shannon Lyon & the Boys in the Berlin Band as a companion piece for their forthcoming album "This LOve This LOve". The "Boys in the Berlin Band" are: Kolja Lieven (guitar), Christian Podratzky (bass), Alex Lieven (drums), and Danny Dziuk (keys). Here is a trailer/preview for the documentary:

January-February 2010: Editing is underway for the Shannon Lyon "THis LOve THis LOve" video documentary... caught Shannon recently at a number of Berlin clubs including the Junction Bar, Schokoladen and NBI Club.

In Winter 2009, we had the pleasure of video recording Andrew Burashko's Art of Time Ensemble performing "Korngold: Source & Inspiration" together with artists Danny Michel, Martin Tielli & John Southworth. The show took place at the Enwave Theatre, Harbourfront Toronto and was recorded by CBC Radio 2 as part of their Concerts on Demand series.

NEWS in 2008

In Spring/Summer 2008, Danny Michel released a new album called "Feather, Fur & Fin". CBC Radio 2 recorded a live performance at Toronto's Modclub for broadcast/ podcast. Here is a clip from that performance ~ I'm 'a Love You Anyway:

JUNO NOMINATED !!

Danny Michel & the Black Tornados - LIVE

"Danny Michel & the Black Tornados - LIVE" was nominated for a Canadian Juno Award in 2008.

The dvd was recorded over 2 nights in 2006 in Toronto with 10 video cameras and multitracked. Danny was joined on stage by a wide assortment of talented artists and musicians including Luke Doucet, Emm Gryner, Kevin Fox, Kurt Swinghammer, Erin McKeown, Lindy, Andy Stochansky, Damhnait Doyle, Terence Gowan, Andrew Aldridge, John Obercian, Damon Richardson, Maury Lafoy, and Rob Carli.

The 2-hour DVD was completed and released in 2007 containing highlights from both Toronto shows plus plenty of "bonus & on-the-road footage" from across Canada.
